Jan Kirk

Jan will begin serving as Administrative Assistant on July 24, 2023. Jan is the first point of contact for the church office and staff, often being the one to answer phone calls and greet people as they enter the office. Other duties include clerical tasks and assisting with facility use management.

Jan joined Faith Lutheran Church in 2020. She regularly serves as a Greeter at the 8:15 worship services. After serving seventeen years as Office Manager at a local medical clinic, Jan officially retired and looks forward to this new responsibility.

Jan has lived in West Des Moines all her life. She has a daughter, Laura, who is an anesthesiologist in Kansas City.  Jan takes every opportunity to visit Laura, Laura’s husband, and Jan’s Golden Retriever “grand-pups”, Bear and Breck.  Having attended Iowa State, Jan admits her clothes closet has lots of cardinal and gold in it but enjoys watching all Iowa basketball and football teams.
