Worship Helpers

You are invited!

People of all ages are invited to enhance the worship experience at Faith Lutheran Church by offering gifts of time and talent. Express your interest by filling out this form. The Faith Office will contact you to schedule dates and times. An orientation and training will be provided. All ages are invited to serve in these roles.

Worship Coordinator
The Worship Coordinator is present 15 minutes before worship to check in those who are assigned as worship helpers. If a spot is vacant, the Worship Coordinator invites someone to assist in that role.
Assisting Minister
The Assisting Minister typically chants (sings) the Psalm, leads the congregation in the Prayers of Intercession and assists with communion. It is helpful for this person to serve both the 8:15 and 10:30 am service, but not required.
Communion Server
The server assists serving the bread or wine during communion.
The lector reads the first and second scripture lessons.
The ushers are responsible for distributing worship bulletins, collecting the offering and directing people to Holy Communion.
The Crucifer carries the processional cross during the Opening Hymn and Closing Hymn.
The Acolyte lights the candles beside the altar during the Opening Hymn and extinguishes them during the Closing Hymn.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild prepares the bread and wine for Holy Communion.
