Youth Fellowship and Ministry Events

Our youth ministry program at Faith provides young people the opportunity to undertake mission trips, attend national conventions and enjoy Christian fellowship with others in settings that are different from the everyday routine.

Worlds of Fun

On July 8, Faith’s youth will be taking their annual Worlds of Fun trip to Kansas City.  We’ll take a charter bus and experience roller coasters, rides, cotton candy, and fellowship.  We will leave at 7:00 a.m. and return at midnight.The cost is $50.00 per person.  Youth in 8th Grade – seniors and one friend per person are welcome to attend.  Youth in 6th and 7th Grade are welcome to attend with a group of 3 and a designated adult.  Younger children 5th Grade and younger can attend with a parent.  Sign up by emailing angielarson@faithlc.org or melissadale@faithlc.org.

New Orleans – July 11-17, 2010

Come work for a week with Habitat for Humanity in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, and Lutheran Disaster Response. Help rebuild homes and rebuild lives, while enhancing relationships. Anyone with a passion for helping and service to Christ who is over 18 years old and graduated high school can volunteer. We have currently reserved 20 spots with Lutheran Disaster Response and Habitat for Humanity, so communication of your interest as soon as possible is important to reserve more spots if necessary. Non-members and friends of Faith with a passion to serve Christ are welcome to come as well. We will be staying at Peace Lutheran Church in Slidell, Louisiana. The cost of the trip is only $135 per person. Participants will be responsible for their own meals on the way to and from New Orleans. A deposit of $50 is due by June 1, to reserve your spot. Scholarships are available upon request.
