Faith's Youth Ministry

Junior High Education Hour

Junior high education hour for 7th and 8th graders meets during the school year from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Gathering House each Sunday morning to discuss current hot topics. Twice each semester parents are invited to talk about faith and moral issues with their children. It is an important opportunity for youth and parents to connect on deeper issues in our busy lives and society.

Sr. High Youth Group

The senior high youth group for 9th through 12th graders meets each Wednesday night, year round, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Gathering House. From 7:30 to 8:30 the youth have the option to socialize, work on homework, or take part in an in-depth Bible study. From 8:30 to 9:30 there is a large-group activity, education, or games.

Peer Ministry

Peer ministry classes are offered each year from January through June. This six-month course offers teens an opportunity to learn how to minister to others. Session topics include: initiating a social relationship, communicating with authority figures, standing up to peer pressure, and more. Youth who are in 10th grade or above are invited to register for this class.

Service Projects

Service projects are a vital part of youth and family ministry at Faith. Service projects are present in most aspects of education. Projects are done monthly and are publicized on the bulletin board in the church entryway, the Faith Life monthly newsletter, and in the bulletin in the Faith Weekly announcements. Each summer youth who have completed the 9th grade have an opportunity to go on a mission trip for a week.

Fellowship Events

Fellowship events also occur frequently for junior high, high school, and college-age groups. Check in Faith's publications for updated information on gatherings for these age groups.
