Soli deo Musica 2011-2012 Fine Art Series
The people of Faith Lutheran Church welcome you to the 21st year of our Artist Series, Soli Deo Musica.
“Proclaiming the Gospel and Enriching the Faith through Fine Arts” is the mission statement of our fine arts series. We strive to present a variety of arts events featuring local artists as well as church musicians within our congregation. Events are scheduled once a month to share the beauty of fine art to the Glory of God, many of which occur during Sunday morning worship. Highlights of the concert season include choral presentations of the Festival Choir in Advent and in Holy Week with orchestral musicians in the metropolitan area. Guest choirs and collegiate faculty soloists are featured in these events. Additional special concerts are presented by university handbell choirs, symphonic bands, full orchestras, and collegiate choral ensembles. Our sanctuary is known for its wonderful acoustics and is a favorite touring site among both instrumental and vocal ensembles, especially those from our Lutheran colleges. Liturgical musicians and visual artists have also graced our facility, sharing their talents with the community.
