Kids in Christ’s Kingdom is offered during both education hours at 8:45 AM and 10:00 AM. on most Sunday mornings. Students have fifteen minutes of music each morning and then return to their age level classrooms for a Bible lesson, interactive activity, scripture verse, and prayer for the last forty-five minutes of each K.I.C.K. session. Students are expected to bring their Bibles to class each Sunday. A K.I.C.K. offering is taken each Sunday with a portion of the offering going to service projects for our students that we call Compassion4Kids.
What Do We Teach?
We constantly strive to improve the K.I.C.K. program to meet the needs of students and parents as well as preparing children for confirmation classes and beyond.
In the spring of 2009, we surveyed our teachers and shepherds to discover what worked with the K.I.C.K. program and how we could improve. WIth feedback from our parents, staff and pastors, director Melinda Litter created a new curriculum focused around age-appropriate stories and themes taken from Scripture.
We invite you to read our K.I.C.K. Scope and Sequence for our Sunday schedules and Scripture lessons for each Sunday:

Each Sunday afternoon, parents recieve an e-mail detailing the morning lesson and tips on how to share the lessons and prayers for the week. We find that our families benefit greatly from revisiting the Scripture lessons and prayers during the week and offers another opportunity to make Scripture and prayer a part of our daily family lives.
How Do We Teach?
We rely on our community and families to take up our baptismal promises to teach and nurture our children. We have many volunteer opportunities that allow volunteers flexibility to help out without 'taking on too much'. In each classroom there will always be two adults present:
Shepherds: Shepherds commit to a classroom on a 'semester' basis to guide students to activities, assist with classroom needs and one-on-one time with students.
Teachers: Teachers commit to a classroom on a monthly basis to read lessons, teach concepts and lead students through activities.
The safety of our children is of primary importance at Faith. We want parents and children to be safe and secure in all aspects of our programming and mission. As such, we strongly encourage all families to read and review our Infants, Children and Youth Safety Policy that applies to all programs offered at Faith Lutheran Church.
