cupandloaf.pngFor I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”  In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

-- St. Paul, First Letter to the Corinthians 11:23-26 (ESV)

Holy communion at Faith Lutheran Church is open to all baptized Christians.

firstcommunion.pngWe feel it is the responsibility of a parent or guardian to determine when a child will begin to partcipate. The ministry staff will provide age-appropriate learning opportunities on the subject of holy communion to first grade students and their parents, teaching the theological, biblical, and historical aspects of Holy Communion. Completion of these learning opportunities is not a prerequisite to participating Holy Communion.

The next class is scheduled for Thursday, November 3, 10, and 17 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Parents are required to be part of this class. Pleasecontact Kala at kalazanoni@faithlc.org or 225-8334 to sign up for the class
