Ministries for Ages Three - 5th Grade

In Christian love you have presented these children for Holy Baptism.  You should, therefore, faithfully bring them to the services of God's house, and teach them the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, and the Ten Commandments.  As they grow in years, you should place in their hands the Holy Scriptures and provide for their instruction in the Christian faith, that, living in the covenant of their Baptism and in communion with the Church, they may lead godly lives unitl the day of Jesus Christ.

-- From the rite of Holy Baptism, The Lutheran Book of Worship

When parents stand with their children at the baptismal font, the congregation of Faith Lutheran makes this promise as we stand in a circle around them.  The responsibility we have toward our children is one that is very important to the life of our congregation.

Parachute.pngIn this age group children begin formal Christian education in the K.I.C.K program (Kids in Christ's Kingdom - our term for "Sunday School") beginning at age three with age-appropriate, biblically centered curriculum.  As they grow older, they will be brought into the life of the congregation - worship, musical ensembles and service projects.  Children and parents will also be given the option for communion instruction and preparing for their child's first communion.

We invite you to explore our ministries for children from age three to fifth grade.
